The Girl Who Ate Everything has added a lot of great meals to our dinner table. These lettuce wraps are one we consider to be a fan-freakin’-tastic football season food.
The buffalo turkey meat is simple to make – 1/2 cup diced onion, 1 tsp minced garlic sautéed in olive oil…then add a pound of ground turkey, finish cooking and add 1/2 cup of hot wing sauce.
My husband and kids prefer these with flour tortillas, I eat them in butter lettuce leaves. Add blue cheese crumbles, chopped celery and carrot shavings…complete.
Don’t like wraps….then use it for a pizza topping with blue cheese dressing as the sauce. We brush olive oil on Naan bread and bake it at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes, then take it out and add the dressing, buffalo turkey meat, and blue cheese…bake for about 10 more minutes, or until the cheese looks as melted as you’d like it.
